Mezentsev attended Christmas services at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow

On the night of January 6-7, 2025, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia celebrated a series of Christmas services at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow: Great Compline, Matins and the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom.
Dmitry Mezentsev, State Secretary of the Union State, was present at the temple.
Before the end of the Divine Liturgy, Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived at the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour and celebrated Christmas at the Church of the Great Martyr George the Victorious on Poklonnaya Gora.

According to tradition, before the start of the divine service, the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church addressed the viewers live with Christmas greetings.
On Christmas Night, His Eminence was concelebrated by: Metropolitan Gregory of Voskresensk, Administrator of the affairs of the Moscow Patriarchate, First Vicar of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia for Moscow; Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate; Archbishop Savva of Zelenograd, Deputy Administrator of the Affairs of the Moscow Patriarchate; Bishop Alexy of Ramenskoye, personal Secretary of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill; Archpriest Mikhail Ryazantsev, sacristan of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior; Archpriest Georgy Martynov, cleric of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior; Moscow clergy. During the divine service, the inhabitants of Moscow women's monasteries and numerous believers prayed.
Among those present at the church were representatives of the Roman Catholic Church: Charge d'affaires of the Apostolic Nunciature in Moscow (interim Head of the Vatican Embassy) Monsignor Mislav Hodzic; Archbishop Gevorg Noratunkyan, ruling Bishop of the Ordinariate for Armenian Catholics in Armenia, Georgia, Russia and Eastern Europe; Protoarchimandrite Petros Yesayan, Vicar of the Archbishop of the Armenian Catholic Church of Russia.
At the special litany, special petitions were offered, and the Primate of the Russian Church read a prayer for Holy Russia.
Archpriest Mikhail Ryazantsev read out the Christmas message of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia to the archpastors, pastors, deacons, monastics and all the faithful children of the Russian Orthodox Church.
Before the end of the Divine Liturgy, Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived at the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, who celebrated the feast of the Nativity of Christ in the Church of St. George the Victorious on Poklonnaya Gora.
