The forum was attended by more than a thousand participants from different countries: designers, representatives of manufacturing enterprises, trade networks, authorities, educational institutions, as well as buyers and specialised communities. Emphasis was placed on the development of the design industry and building interstate creative and industrial communications, including within the CIS.
One of the key sessions was organised by the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS member states. The participants included representatives of Russia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Belarus. From the Belarusian side, the organisers of the Fashion Mill, a project that has been actively cooperating with the International Fashion Forum and the Commonwealth of Fashion for three years, took part in the discussion.
"At the invitation of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS countries, we took part in the forum session, where we discussed ways to promote young national clothing brands both in the markets of the participating countries and in wider formats - for example, BRICS or EAEU," said Igor Ivanov, head of the fashion and design department of the National Centre for Artistic Creativity of Children and Youth. - "Fashion Mill, as a project that discovers, supports and develops indie brands has declared its readiness for strategic co-operation in joint projects with the Assembly".
