The days of the Brest region will be held at the international exhibition and forum "Russia"

It is reported that the official opening ceremony of the Brest Region Days will take place on January 11, and famous people will take part in it. The exhibition of the region will last until January 29.

Guests will be able to get acquainted with the economic, industrial, cultural and tourist potential of the region, national traditions. Separate expositions will be presented by the National Park "Belovezhskaya Pushcha", the memorial complex "Brest Fortress-hero", the free economic zone "Brest". The city of Brest will have its own stand, and sports, tourist and agricultural locations will also be decorated. In addition, there will be an opportunity to learn about the activities and proposals of the Brest Science and Technology Park.

The agricultural sector is the pride of the Brest region, therefore, one of the accents is made on it. Visitors will be presented with the achievements of farmers and the best products of producers in the region. "More than 46 thousand people are employed in agricultural production, and more than 15 thousand in the processing industry. Our region produces a quarter of the livestock production in Belarus. Brest region is a traditional leader in the republic in terms of exports of agricultural products and raw materials, occupies a third part in the country's exports. More than 75% of dairy products are exported, 40% - meat, 30% - whole milk, about 30% of sausage products," the Committee on Agriculture and Food of the Brest Regional Executive Committee noted. The products of farmers and processors of the Brest region are supplied to almost 60 countries.

The industrial potential of the region will be shown through the enterprises of the Brest free economic zone. "The stand will feature models of the largest FEZ resident enterprises in various industries: building materials, clothing, furniture, food, household appliances. The activities of enterprises will be presented in videos, as well as a touchscreen with brief information about the free economic zone will be installed," the FEZ said. It currently unites 76 residents, including 17 enterprises with Russian capital operating in the furniture, food, construction and electronics industries.

Representatives of the Brest region promise to surprise the guests. For example, during the old New Year it will be possible to meet with the Belarusian Santa Claus. Also, masters of folk art will work in the pavilion of Brest residents, who have prepared an interactive for visitors.
