"Belarus is interested in cooperation with Russian partners in aircraft construction. This is a completely new area of cooperation for us. We are working on a relevant intergovernmental program and projects together with Russian aircraft manufacturers. With the launch of a nuclear power plant in Belarus, nuclear energy began to occupy a special place in the economy. Now we are looking into the development of nuclear medicine, the use of Rosatom applied technologies in other areas. We are also devising a separate program with Rosatom. In addition, there is an instruction of the Russian president to actively involve Belarusians in shipbuilding and relevant federal programs," Ambassador Dmitry Krutoi said.
The landmark document approved at the meeting of the Supreme State Council on 29 January was the Strategy for the Scientific and Technological Development of the Union State until 2035. "The Belarusian president instructed to work out the project content of this strategy for all key technologies with the Kurchatov Institute and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The digital economy is also a promising area, the volume of this service market between our countries is growing," the ambassador said.
