First Deputy Architecture and Construction Minister of Belarus Oleg Shvets told reporters about plans to build facilities in Russia following the ministry’s board meeting to review the construction industry’s performance in 2023, BelTA has learned.

According to the first deputy minister, one of the landmark facilities that the Belarusians helped build last year was a huge educational complex in Voronezh. “This educational complex is called Commonwealth; it is the largest in Russia. It is designed for 3,000 students,” said the first deputy minister.

At present Belarusian construction workers are building two schools in Nizhny Novgorod. “We will design a third one. We are also building a school in Suzdal, Vladimir Oblast. There are many industrial facilities where our builders are working, including port infrastructure in the village of Ust-Luga. We are working in Krasnodar Krai,” noted Oleg Shvets. “We do not only do the design work, but also provide engineering and construction services depending on the needs of a particular region,” he added.
