Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Piotr Parkhomchik and Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov have coordinated approaches to ensuring the protection of the common market of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, representatives of the Belarusian government told BelTA.

Piotr Parkhomchik and Denis Manturov discussed the state of affairs and results of joint work on some aspects of realization of the unified industrial policy as well as the development of rules for confirming the manufacture of industrial goods in the territory of the Union State of Belarus and Russia. The relevant documents are supposed to be signed soon.

During the meeting the Russian side noted that the industry ministries of the two countries had agreed 24 import-substituting investment projects. They are financed at the expense of Russia’s credit resources. Another three projects were approved. Five projects are in the final stage of the approval process.

Other matters included this year’s deliveries of engines made by Ural and Kolomna engine plants for the sake of powering BelAZ haul trucks.

The Russian side expressed interest in working together to set up additional manufacturing facilities and a center of competences in Belarus for the sake of making complicated components of high-speed reduction gearboxes for Belarusian and Russian customers.

Both sides agreed that Belarusian-Russian relations in the manufacturing sector develop steadily and dynamically. They reaffirmed the mutual interest in expanding practical cooperation.
