Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko is set to visit the National Children's Technopark on Knowledge Day, 1 September, BelTA has learned.

The head of state will learn about the park's activities, the system of work with gifted youth, and the prospects for the development of the educational institution. The president will get familiar with the training and laboratory buildings and an exhibition of the best projects developed by the park's graduates.

The Belarusian National Children's Technopark opened its doors on 1 January 2021. In order to design it Belarus used the experience of the Russian educational center Sirius in Sochi. Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting at the center in February 2019. “Today we are already ready to open a technopark similar to Sirius,” the Belarusian leader said then. “The experience of Sirius is important for us in terms of selection, programs, training, and accommodation of young people. Russia has passed a very interesting and important path which we will make use of. We should adopt its best practices.”
