Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated residents of Soligorsk and Soligorsk District on the 65th anniversary of the town, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“The anniversary of Belarus' capital of ‘red gold' is a common holiday for all residents of Soligorsk District. Belaruskali, the world-famous company and the town's economic mainstay, is not only a brand, but also a place of professional achievements for many families, a second home for entire dynasties of miners,” the message of congratulations reads.

The head of state noted that the hard-working residents of the district make a great contribution to the development of the country and their home town, making it even more beautiful and comfortable.

“Today we can rightly be proud of Soligorsk that has gone through a remarkable transformation from a small village into a powerful and dynamically growing industrial center over a short period of time. New residential neighborhoods, educational, sports and other social infrastructure facilities are built there,” Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized.

The president wished residents of the district good health, many successes, prosperity and confidence in the future. “Let the 65th anniversary of the town become the starting point for new ambitious plans,” the Belarusian leader added.
