Medinsky: Russia seeks to reach agreements with Ukraine as soon as possible

Russia is interested in reaching agreements with Ukraine as soon as possible, Aide to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky told journalists on 28 February. Vladimir Medinsky leads the Russian delegation that arrived in Belarus for talks with the Ukrainian side, BelTA has learned

“Since every hour of the conflict means new deaths of Ukrainian citizens, Ukrainian soldiers, we are certainly interested in reaching some agreements as quickly as possible. These agreements should be in the interests of both sides,” Vladimir Medinsky said.

The Russian delegation arrived at the place of negotiations in Gomel Oblast on 27 February. The place was agreed with the Ukrainian side and is located near the border with Ukraine. The Russian delegation expects to start negotiations with Ukraine at 12:00.
