Lukashenko in Kremlin to meet with Putin

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has arrived in the Kremlin where he will meet with President of Russia Vladimir Putin, BelTA has learned.

The presidents will discuss a broad range of matters concerning Belarusian-Russian relations, including those, which are not supposed to be discussed during the Supreme State Council session the next day: import substitution, deeper manufacturing cooperation, development of high-tech industries. The international situation and the measures being taken to ensure security will be discussed among other things.

Aleksandr Lukashenko will take part in the session of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Belarus and Russia in Moscow the next day. Participants of the session will review progress of fulfillment of the main guidelines on implementing provisions of the Union State Foundation Treaty for the 2021-2023 period and progress of fulfillment of Union State programs. The development of the security concept of the Union State will be another key topic. Traditionally some of the items on the agenda of the Supreme State Council session will be related to current activities within the framework of the Union State of Belarus and Russia. Participants of the session will sum up results and will discuss joint work for the coming period.
