On the night of April 19-20, 2025, at the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia celebrated Easter services — the Midnight Mass, the procession, Easter Matins and the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom.

On Sunday night, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia led the Easter Service at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. He was co-served by Metropolitan Gregory of Voskresensk, the administrator of the Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Arseny of Zvenigorod, Bishop Serafim of Istra, Bishop Alexy of Ramenskoye, Archpriest Mikhail Ryazantsev and the clergy of Moscow.
The service was attended by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. The Easter service is one of the main events in the Orthodox calendar.
