Parkhomchik discusses cooperation with Russia’s Novosibirsk Oblast, Tatarstan

Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Parkhomchik held negotiations with the authorities of Russia’s Novosibirsk Oblast and Tatarstan during the international industrial exhibition INNOPROM in Yekaterinburg, BelTA learned from the press service of the Industry Ministry.

Piotr Parkhomchik met with Novosibirsk Oblast First Deputy Governor Yuri Petukhov to review the state of cooperation between organizations of Belarus and Novosibirsk Oblast with a focus on projects in the manufacturing industry. Such projects include the development of the BKM Siberia site for the production of trams, the possibility of supplying automotive components produced in Novosibirsk Oblast to BelGee.
 
In addition, the parties considered the participation of Belarusian machine tool industry enterprises in the modernization and technical re-equipment of industrial enterprises in Novosibirsk Oblast, as well as the participation of Belarusian companies in the turnkey design and construction of facilities in Novosibirsk Oblast in 2025-2026. The also discussed Belarus’ participation in the upcoming International Forum of Technological Development Technoprom 2024 to be held in Novosibirsk at the end of August. Belarusian companies will present a joint stand featuring their latest solutions in science and technology.

On the same day, Piotr Parkhomchik met with Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia’s Republic of Tatarstan Oleg Korobchenko. The parties explored the potential of bilateral cooperation in the manufacturing industry and compared notes on signing an investment contract to launch tractor equipment production on the premises of MTZ-Tatarstan.
 
An agreement was reached to continue supplies of gas-engine vehicles, road machinery and passenger transport.

Belarus’ Ambassador to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik and Belarus’ Industry Minister Aleksandr Yefimov took part in the negotiations.
