Lukashenko to visit BelOMO

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko is set to visit Vavilov Minsk Mechanical Plant – Managing Company of BelOMO Holding Company on 26 August, BelTA has learned.

The head of state will be briefed on the financial and economic state of the company, its production prospects.

The Belarusian Optical and Mechanical Association (BelOMO Holding Company since 2011) is a recognized leader in optical and electronic instrument building. The history of BelOMO Holding Company began in 1957 with the foundation of Vavilov Minsk Mechanical Plant.

Today it is a universal multi-profile association specializing in development, design and production of laser, opto-electronic and opto-mechanical devices and systems. Along with optical products the company manufactures components of braking systems for heavy-duty vehicles, household gas meters, infrared radiators (heaters) for general and local space heating, consumer goods (electric dryers, electric juicers, electric juicer-choppers) and many more.

The company's production capacity secures production of competitive products for both domestic and foreign markets. BelOMO sells its innovative products to more than 30 countries.
