Lukashenko reviews joint group of missile forces using Polonez, Iskander systems

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko reviewed the joint group of missile forces of Belarus and Russia at the Osipovichi training ground during the exercise on 17 February, BelTA has learned.

At the training ground, the head of state was informed about the course of the exercise, the location of the joint group of troops, the maneuvers carried out by various units of the armed forces of Belarus and Russia.

The president was also briefed about the activities of the missile forces of Belarus and Russia and the establishment of the joint group of missile forces, which uses the Polonez multiple launch rocket systems and the Russian Iskander operational-tactical missile systems.

At the training ground, the joint group of missile forces made an electronic launch of missiles.

The commanders of the missile battalions reported to the commander-in-chief that both the Polonez and the Iskander systems proved to be excellent during the exercise.
