Belarus to host over 70 international sports events in 2023

More than 70 international sports events will take place in Belarus in 2023. This is stipulated in Decree No.921 of the Council of Ministers of 27 December 2022, BelTA learned from the national legal internet portal.

The list of events for the next year includes the international basketball 3x3 tournament Palova Snowball 3x3, the 52nd International Freestyle Wrestling Tournament for the prizes of three-time Olympic champion, seven-time world champion in freestyle wrestling Aleksandr Medved (men, women), the international track cycling tournament Minsk Grand Prix and the Minsk International Half Marathon.

The list also includes the ITF international taekwondo tournament “CIS Open Cup - World Cup”, the international hockey tournament for young players born in 2008-2012 “2023 World Selects Invitational AAA Boys” (2023 World Hockey Group AAA Boys) and the international chess tournament Minsk 2023.

The decree enters into force on 1 January 2023.
