Vasilevskaya reveals most often asked space question

I would like to meet with as many people as possible and share my experience as a cosmonaut, the first cosmonaut of sovereign Belarus Marina Vasilevskaya told journalists before a meeting with students of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus, BelTA has learned.

"I have grandiose plans. I would like to visit all government organizations and I have received a lot of offers. It will be a great honor for me to visit each one, and I will do so whenever possible. I am eager to share my impressions, my experience," Marina Vasilevskaya said.

According to her, the purpose of such meetings is to popularize cosmonautics. Belarus is now a space power, and it is developing very rapidly in this direction. 

Speaking about her impressions of the flight, Marina Vasilevskaya said that not much time has passed since the space flight. Today, the first cosmonaut of sovereign Belarus is happy to be home and share her space experience. "It is especially symbolic for me that today I am at the Academy of Public Administration under the President: I am a patriot of my country. And it is very important for me to be here today, to talk to students, management and share my happiness, my space flight experience," she admitted.

As for the most popular question at such meetings, Marina Vasilevskaya said that  it is about the shape of the planet. "Of course, it is round, very beautiful, large, strong, powerful. At the same time, it is very fragile. I always say that we must protect it. Everyone should make some good, useful contribution," the cosmonaut stressed.

The meeting with Marina Vasilevskaya takes place at the Academy of Public Administration in the format of a "conversation over a cup of tea".

By the way, the Academy of Management also hosts Q&As with top officials, heads of ministries and enterprises, leading experts, opinion leaders.
