Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War to Host Performance of War Years’ Songs

On May 9 th the television channel Belarus 3 and the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War are going to present a joint television project “Memory Remains ...”, which is a song concert programme in the setting of a museum display, reads the website of the National State TV and Radio Company.

The premiere film-concert “Memory Remains ...” presents a topical series of staged musical acts filmed in the museum. Performing military songs among the memorial exhibits, the artists theatricalize the episodes of those years.

Among those involved in the performance are the People’s Artist Vladimir Petrov, Honored Artists Vladimir Gromov and Vladimir Provalinsky, songwriters Alexander Sukharev and Alexander Bal, Anna Stepankova and other Belarusian artists. They are performing well-known songs of the war years, including “Tiomnaya Noch”, “V Zemlyanke”, “Do Svidaniya, Malchiki”, “Belorusskiy Vokzal” with the lyrics by Bulat Okudzhava, as well as the songs of Belarusian composers: “Pismo is Sorokpyatogo” by Igor Luchenok, “Miloserdie” by Leonid Zakhlevny, “Pamyat” by Alexander Sukharev, “Otvoevali” by Alexander Bal.

The music project “Memory Remains ...” is to air on Victory Day at 12.20 and 22.15 on Belarus 3 TV channel.
