Belarus, Myanmar sign over 10 agreements at business forum

Enterprises of Belarus and Myanmar signed 13 bilateral documents at the Belarus-Myanmar business forum in Minsk on 6 March, BelTA has learned.

Belarus’ MTZ and Myanmar Empire Company signed a memorandum of understanding on the assembly of BELARUS tractors. The two companies also signed a contract on delivery of three tractors of 451, 522, 820 models worth about $50,000 for performance tests to determine required technical characteristics.

An agreement on registration of medicines was signed between Belmedpreparaty and Apex Care Company with an annex on 6 antitumor medicines.

Volkovysk-based Bellakt Company and Myanmar Empire Company signed a memorandum of understanding on supplies of milk powder and baby food to Myanmar.]

Enterprises of the two countries signed a number of documents on the supply of cord fabric, equipment for the production of milk powder, cream, condensed milk, and other products to Myanmar, as well as seafood to Belarus.

Memorandums of understanding were signed between higher educational institutions of Belarus and Myanmar.

The forum featured presentations of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, as well as the heads of Myanmar companies representing key industries such as textiles, jewelry, tourism, and also cattle breeding and fishing. Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov emphasized at the forum that the speeches of all the speakers of the event confirmed the significant potential of business cooperation between Belarus and Myanmar. “The task for all of us is to fulfil it,” he said.
