Belarus' ranks in Global Innovation Index 2021 improved

Belarus has improved its positions in the Global Innovation Index 2021, BelTA learned from the Hi-Tech Park website.

According to the source, Belarus' overall rank has improved by two points. The country is now ranked 62nd in the Global Innovation Index 2021. The index is compiled by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) every year. WIPO is part of the UN system. Belarus' position has improved in several categories over the year. Belarus went from the 46th position to the 37th in the Knowledge and Technology Outputs section and from the 97th position to the 93rd one in the Creative Outputs section.

Belarus' ICT Services Exports rank went up by four points to 11. Meanwhile, Belarus' ICT Access went up from 19 to 16. Belarus remains the world's leader in Mobile App Creation.

The Global Innovation Index is a study and an annual ranking of countries by their capacity for and success in innovation. The Global Innovation Index has been compiled since 2007 as part of a joint project of the Business School for the World INSEAD (France), Cornell University, and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
