Results of Belarus-Russia Union State programs in 2019 summed up

State Secretary of the Union State of Belarus and Russia Grigory Rapota summed up the results of the Union State programs in 2019 at a meeting in Minsk on 5 March.

“Several Union State programs were implemented in 2019. Those were the programs on the protection of the population and rehabilitation of the territories affected by the Chernobyl disaster, the development of the Union State's hydro-meteorological security system, and also the medical program ‘Spinal systems (to treat children with severe congenital deformities and spinal injuries)',” Grigory Rapota noted.

The Union State projects related to the Belarusian-Russian University in Mogilev, Brest Fortress were also underway. “Another project was about the development of a sculptural composition for the Rzhev Memorial to the Soviet Soldier. It is already in the final stage of completion," the state secretary added.

“The programs and projects are on schedule. There are issues to address but they are all insignificant. Last year the funds were utilized well. This year the financing will be enough to ensure efficient work,” Grigory Rapota said.

On 5 March, Minsk played host to a meeting will representatives of Belarus' state customers and performers of programs, projects and events of the Union State in such areas as education, culture, healthcare, physical education, environment and radiation safety.
