Vadim Bogush, rector of BSUIR, announced a strategic partnership with the Russian Federation, which actively develops co-operation not only in education, but also in scientific spheres. According to him, the emphasis has recently shifted specifically to scientific projects, which is confirmed by the interaction with leading universities in Moscow and St. Petersburg, reports Soyuz.by.

One of the brightest examples of joint work is the master's programme in microelectronics implemented in partnership with Russian universities. Students studying under this programme have a unique opportunity to receive diplomas from both BSUIR and a leading Moscow university.

Bogush noted that citizens of the Russian Federation are also showing interest in specialities in the field of microelectronics, especially in view of the new quotas for admission. He stressed the importance of interaction at the level of higher education institutions, including the organisation of forums between the Russian Union of Rectors and the Council of Rectors of Belarus, where both humanitarian and modern issues of digitalisation and scientific innovation are discussed.

In addition, BSUIR actively participates in Union State projects and supports young scientists through grants from the Belarusian Foundation for Basic Research. In particular, the university's developments in the field of microelectronics have already been applied at the hadron collider in Dubna, which emphasises their significance for world science.
