Lyubov Brish, director of Gazprom Helium Service, said that construction of a natural gas liquefaction complex is planned to be built on the territory of the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park Veliky Kamen at a joint meeting of the commissions of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State, reports the correspondent of the soyuz.by .

Note: The participants of the meeting consider current problems and prospects for the development of the gas engine fuel market in the Union State. The main attention is paid to the current state of the market, the development of production and marketing infrastructure, the designing and implementation of rolling stock renewal programs, taking into account the transition to natural gas fuel.

Lyubov Brish notes that at the moment there are no documents corresponding to this request in Belarus, therefore it is almost impossible to build a plant for the production of liquefied natural gas as for now. However, Belarussian goverment has issued a permit for the construction of the complex “bonded” with the Volgograd plant.

“An official conclusion was made on the territory of the Volgograd plant that the Republic agreed with us and we were to build a plant on the territory of the Great Stone,“ the director said.

According to her statement, the estimated capacity of the future complex is 3,360 tons of LNG, and the main fuel consumers are MAZ and BelAZ machinery.

In addition, during her speech, Lyudmila Brish also voiced a proposal for Belarus.

“At the moment, LNG is not planned by the authorities on the territory of the Republic, because there are no subsidies, and there are still alternative routes. Therefore, today I would like to raise the question for discussion: if it is possible that MAZ buses would transfer at least 20-30 units of equipment to LNG on the territory of the Republic , we will cover 60% of the capacity of the natural gas liquefaction plant. We will form a scientific base, experience, economy and we will give the opportunity to continue moving from here by the MAZ mainline tractor along the M1 road to Moscow and further along the north-south corridor. This is not the biggest money, but the greatest prospects," concluded the director of Gazprom Helium Service.
