Belarus’ FEZ Minsk signs cooperation memorandum with Russia’ PSEZ Ulyanovsk

The Free Economic Zone Minsk and the Port Special Economic Zone Ulyanovsk intend to develop cooperation. The corresponding memorandum was signed by Sergei Bubenko, first deputy head of the FEZ Minsk administration, and Oleg Nepochatov, director general of the PSEZ Ulyanovsk, BelTA learned from the press service of the FEZ Minsk.

The memorandum focuses on the cooperation in attracting investments and establishing high-tech export-oriented and import-substituting production facilities in the two countries.

The signing ceremony took place during a visit of the Belarusian delegation headed by Minsk Mayor Vladimir Kukharev to Ulyanovsk Oblast of Russia. The delegation consisted of representatives of Belarusian government bodies, organizations and enterprises, including resident enterprises of FEZ Minsk: Minsk Civil Aviation Plant No. 407 and the Belarusian microelectronics company Integral.

The FEZ Minsk participated in the seventh meeting of the working group for cooperation between Belarus and Ulyanovsk Oblast and the roundtable discussion on industrial cooperation and mechanical engineering. It presented the potential of the free economic zone as one of the most attractive Belarusian sites for investment projects.

During the roundtable discussion, the Belarusian Integral signed a cooperation agreement with Ulyanovsk NPP Zavod Iskra.

The Belarusian delegation is set to tour industrial enterprises of the Ulyanovsk Oblast.
