Six Belarusian biathletes to take part in Women 7.5km Sprint in Ruhpolding

BMW IBU World Cup 6 kicks off in Ruhpolding, Germany on 12 January, BelTA has learned.

The competition program will open with Women 7.5km Sprint to feature 112 athletes, including six Belarusians: Hanna Sola, Iryna Leshchanka, Dzinara Alimbekava, Elena Kruchinkina, Irina Kruchinkina, and Alina Pilchuk.

Dzinara Alimbekava goes 3rd in the IBU World Cup Total Score with 418 points. Hanna Sola goes 6th with 374 points, Iryna Leshchanka - 39th with 67 points, Elena Kruchinkina - 60th with 25 points, Alina Pilchuk - 84th with 1 point. Marte Olsbu Roeiseland of Norway tops the list with 537 points. Second is Sweden's Elvira Oeberg (449 points).

France's Quentin Fillon Maillet tops the IBU World Cup Total Score (men) with 461 points. Emilien Jacquelin of France goes second (449). Anton Smolski of Belarus is 12th with 264 points. Dzmitry Lazouski goes 36th with 100 points. Raman Yaliotnau is 54th with 32 points. Maksim Varabei goes 64th with 17 points. Mikita Labastau - 68th with 14 points. Sergei Bocharnikov is 74th with 8 points. Men 10km Sprint is due on Thursday, 13 January.

The competition program in Ruhpolding will also include two relay and two pursuit events.
