Belarus clinch three medals on Friendship Games day four in Kazan

Russia's Kazan is hosting the second stage of the international swimming competition Friendship Games, BelTA has learned.

On the fourth day of the games the Belarusian team won three medals. Gold was claimed by Viktar Staselovich, Ilya Shymanovich, Hryhory Pekarski and Ruslan Skamaroshka in the men's 4x50 medley. Several minutes later Hryhory Pekarski collected silver in the men's 50m butterfly. Alina Zmushka took bronze in the women's 100m breaststroke.

Over the four days of international competitions in Kazan Belarus has bagged seven (3-2-2) medals.

The second stage of the swimming competition Friendship Games in Kazan will be over on Friday. Eleven medal events will be held on the final day. At the first stage of the games in the capital of Tatarstan in July the Belarusian team won 11 (2-4-5) medals. The third and final stages of the tournament are due to take place in Kazan on 8-12 December.
