Belarus claim champion titles in World Championships in Fire and Rescue 2021

The Belarusian men's and women's national teams won the World Championships in Fire and Rescue 2021, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry.

The 16th World Championship for Men and the 7th World Championship for Women in Fire and Rescue (Fire-Applied) 2021 took place in Karaganda, Kazakhstan on 1-5 September. The winners of the competition were determined in four types of exercises: climbing the assault ladder to the floors of the training tower, the 100-meter obstacle course, fire relay 4x100m, and combat deployment.
The Belarusian women's team won silver in the combat deployment with the result of 26.67 seconds and the men's team placed fifth in the same discipline with the result of 27.96 seconds on 5 September.
According to the results of four competition days, the Belarusian men's and women's teams placed first, becoming the undisputed winners of the World Championships in Fire and Rescue 2021. Russia placed second and the Czech Republic third in the women's event. The Czech Republic and Russia finished second and third respectively in the men's event.
Belarus' Emergencies Minister Vadim Siniavsky congratulated the Belarusian team on successful performance via video link.
