Azarenka moves to Rome 2020 round three

Belarus' world number 14 Victoria Azarenka stunned U.S. world number five Sofia Kenin, 6-0, 6-0, to move into the third round at the Internazionale BNL d'Italia, BelTA has learned.

The former world number one did not drop a single game and faced no break points en route to an emphatic victory in 61 minutes.

Looking to reach the quarterfinal Victoria Azarenka will face Russia's world number 74 Daria Kasatkina. The Russian took down world numbre 61 Katerina Siniakova of the Czech Republic, 6-2, 6-3 earlier in the day to advance.

In the opener the Belarusian defeated U.S. world number 70 Venus Williams, 7-6 (9-7), 6-2.

The tournament in Rome will finish on 21 September.
