In 2019, BELGEE plant manufactured a record 20,151 vehicles. All in all, the carmaker has produced over 50,000 vehicles, said plant manager Gennady Svidersky, reports the correspondent of the Union State portal.

Gennady Svidersky said that the leader of BELGEE product range is the Geely ATLAS crossover, which accounts for 54% of sales. The Geely Emgrand X7 crossover makes about 33% of total sales, whereas the Geely Emgrand 7 sedan - 13%.

“Such sales volumes enabled us to rank among best-selling cars in Belarus. We will continue our work. Next year we are planning to increase the production level to thirty thousand cars. We are also expanding the geography of car supplies. At the moment we are holding negotiations with representatives of the EEU and the EU,” said the plant manager.

Gennady Svidersky added that BELGEE products remain popular in Russia. In 2019, sales on the Russian market amounted to $100 million. By the way, in February, BELGEE is releasing a new crossover model. It will appear both on Belarusian and Russian markets.

“All the preparatory production works are completed, tests are passed. The first awareness-raising batch of new crossovers has already left for Russia, but sales will begin later,” the plant manager commented.

Gennady Svidersky added that in 2020 their easy-credit programme is to be extended. You can buy a Geely Emgrand 7 sedan at a rate of 1.9%, whereas Emgrand X7 and Atlas crossovers are subject to a new rate of 3.9% per annum for the first three years, and then it will equal refinancing rate plus 3.9 percentage points. It is also planned to provide subsidized loans for the new Geely SX11 model.
