Belarus steps up operational border control

Following the orders of the country's leadership, the Belarusian border service has strengthened the operational border control, the State Border Committee said in its Telegram channel, BelTA has learned.

“Today, following the order of the country's leadership, the border guards have stepped up the operational control on the state border, including on the Belarusian-Russian border,” the State Border Committee said.

“The border service is ready to counter illegal activities, in any forms and manifestations, that pose a threat to border security and to respond promptly to any change in the situation,” the border agency said.

As it has been reported, Belarus will deploy more patrol units on the border with Ukraine, both at checkpoints and on the green border.
